This is our blog documenting our conversion of a Fiat Ducato panel van into a quirky, handcrafted camper van, while juggling full time work, an allotment and a house full of animals!
We are a thirtysomething husband and wife living in the South East and working full time in London. We’re both creative types and alongside our jobs, we try to find time for woodwork (him) and metalsmithing (her). We’re also engaged in a continual battle against the weeds in our allotment and catering to the whims and desires of our furry and feathered family: two rabbits, a Siberian cat, a Border Collie puppy and a small flock of chickens.
We both love getting outdoors and travelling, whether it’s exploring the coast paths in the UK or hiking and skiing in the Alps, and a camper van seemed like the perfect solution especially for quick weekend getaways and off grid adventures. The creative and design challenges of converting our own camper really appeal to us and we’re looking forward to using our existing skills as well as learning new ones along the way.
